SPRINGCLEANING

Because the days last longer and the spring flowers exude their subtle fragrance, we are in the mood to decorate our home so that it matches the environment outside. We can safely clean and carefully pack our winter decorations for the next winter season, closing them tightly in the basement. While we transform our home so that it corresponds to the spring mood, we can also take care of the spring cleaning.

CHALET, A HOME AWAY FORM HOME

 A few years ago we had the good fortune to rent a chalet in the mountains for 2 months. I found it on Homegate and although you could see from the pictures that nothing had been changed or renovated on it for quite some time and that the décor was lush and way too Bavarian (which didn’t fit at all to the Grisons Mountains), the potential that it had could not have been overlooked. Despite the fact that the owners wanted to rent it for at least one year, we started talking and I drove with M to Laax to personally take a look at the chalet. And as it happens when everything fits, the sun shone and the fresh snow, which fell abundantly the day before, glistened in the sunlight. It was perfect! The chalet, traditionally built from stone and wood, was covered with a slate roof made out of stones from the region. The garden around the house was wild and it was wrapped in a thick blanket of snow. Who would have said NO!
